It’s Still The Same: Video Blog Today

Good morning bloggers,

As I share in this video, the weather pattern is still nearly 100% the old LRC. The transition is beginning, but the old pattern is still dominating. The most fascinating thing in meteorology happens in the next two weeks. This pattern will get wiped away and a new LRC will begin.  Take a look at the proof of the old pattern in full force, and meet Rainbow The Weather Dog:

Thank you for sharing in this weather experience.  We will look deeper into Friday nights set up and the weekend forecast in the next blog entry.

Gary

Love that drier air!

Our local high school is considering rescheduling this Friday night’s game to Thursday because of impending weather. Is that really such a sure thing to warrant such drastic action?

Gary,
Congratulations on the new dog! I want to say kudos to the fact that you always adopt mix breed dogs, animals that really need good homes, that makes you a hero in my eyes!

After last nights forecast of rain and T-Storms on the 10PM newscast, I went out and brought the horses in. Ha! I knew if I brought them in, it wouldn’t rain. BITH (Bringing in the Horses) is as about as accurate as the LRC….well, almost. 🙂

The battle of summer versus fall continues. The storms last night fizzled on our doorsteps and mainly impacted well northeast of the metro. I am fine with that, but frustrating for those that expected them or prepared for them. Friday late afternoon and evening looks interesting and Friday Night Lights could be impacted. Hope everyone pays attention to the weather and there are no issues at any of the games. Lightning being the main concern. So NOAA came out and said they expect the next 90 days to be above average. Anymore, I take what they predict with a grain… Read more »

Those forecasts are almost worthless. I read a review that was made by NOAA themselves that said that there was almost no value in those forecasts (they said it a little nicer). They don’t seem to even like putting them out but demand for them forces them to.
