Good morning Weatehr2020 bloggers,

Welcome to the LRC Forecast Experience Blog. In the past few days we have shown the cycling pattern, and where we are now in this year’s LRC.  We will look ahead in tomorrow’s blog. Today, let’s look at this year’s severe weather season thus far. Take a look at this map of the tornado watches that have been issued in 2015:

2015_torww_to_date

There have been 51 tornado watches issued thus far in 2015. Notice how there has only been one watch in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, with no watches yet this year just south of OKC. And, as usual the KC metro area has yet to be in a tornado watch. The hot spots for watches thus far have been in the region around southern Illinois. What do you think of this that is on the Storm Prediction Center’s site?

I thought it was interesting. Have a great Tuesday. We will look ahead tomorrow. Read back through the past couple of blogs to catch up on where we are in this fascinating and cycling weather pattern.

Gary

I would say the EOI is a perfect 10.
