Good morning Weather2020 bloggers,
The weather pattern continues to evolve and set-up according to the LRC. We will be going in-depth into the developing pattern later this week. Kansas City may finally have it’s first freeze on Saturday morning as high pressure builds south on Halloween night. By November 1st, Saturday morning, here is the surface temperature forecast from the GFS model:
The first freeze may happen in many cities from eastern Kansas to Tennessee. A storm is going to be moving east from the Great Lakes to off the northeast United States coast. High pressure will build south into Iowa and Missouri by Saturday morning and this will help provide the conditions for that first freeze, which is coming late in many locations.
There will be an area of snow on the back side of the eastern storm system, and there is a rather strong hint for this winter coming into the western states as a storm brings rain to California later this week. For the middle part of the nation, however, October is going to end dry. But, it was anything but a dry month. Nearly 10 inches of rain fell this month in KC.
The World Series continues tonight. It is game six at Kauffman Stadium and the weather looks great. The pressure is on the Royals. The result of tonights game will begin with the starting pitchers. Can Ventura come through and shut down the San Francisco Giants. I believe the 23 year old Ventura has the potential to do that shut down game and this may be the key to the rest of the series. We may know a lot after just the first inning. Who is nervous? Go Royals!!!!!
