One Chance Of A Freeze Is Now Showing Up

Good morning Weather2020 bloggers,

The weather pattern continues to evolve and set-up according to the LRC.  We will be going in-depth into the developing pattern later this week.  Kansas City may finally have it’s first freeze on Saturday morning as high pressure builds south on Halloween night. By November 1st, Saturday morning, here is the surface temperature forecast from the GFS model:

1

The first freeze may happen in many cities from eastern Kansas to Tennessee.  A storm is going to be moving east from the Great Lakes to off the northeast United States coast.  High pressure will build south into Iowa and Missouri by Saturday morning and this will help provide the conditions for that first freeze, which is coming late in many locations.

2

There will be an area of snow on the back side of the eastern storm system, and there is a rather strong hint for this winter coming into the western states as a storm brings rain to California later this week.  For the middle part of the nation, however, October is going to end dry. But, it was anything but a dry month. Nearly 10 inches of rain fell this month in KC.

111

The World Series continues tonight.  It is game six at Kauffman Stadium and the weather looks great.  The pressure is on the Royals. The result of tonights game will begin with the starting pitchers. Can Ventura come through and shut down the San Francisco Giants. I believe the 23 year old Ventura has the potential to do that shut down game and this may be the key to the rest of the series. We may know a lot after just the first inning. Who is nervous?  Go Royals!!!!!

I’m not wanting snow since most folks/cities are clueless in terms of snow removal and proper road treatment. Pretty and perhaps a day or two off from work, but I still have ripped disks from last winter. Sorry I know several of you live/work snow removal but for those of us not on commercial account it sucks. Would prefer cold over snow!

My comments in reference to pitching Mad Bum were about tomorrow night, I highly doubt we will see him tonight.

Gary, eagerly awaiting your thoughts on winter. Any way you can share preliminary thoughts with us on this site?

I firmly believe the Royals are going to open it up tonight and beat the Giants by at least 5 runs. Butler, Gordon and Aoki will have big nights
And if the Giants do pitch Mad Bum, I believe the Royals will finally get to him and light him up!

Just my two cents

The latest GFS(12z) showing some colder signatures heading into the first 10 days of NOV……winter is near and it’s going to be a cold and white one.

Gary,

I hope this LRC thing is making some money as I will need to borrow some after I calculate my expenses for all these home playoff games. HA!

I am nervous a bit, but everyone I’ve spoken to is pretty confident the Royals will take this game tonight.
