Good morning Weather2020 bloggers,

We will look ahead into the entire weather pattern that is developing later on Sunday. For now, let’s concentrate on the World Series Game 3 weather forecast.  Here is the forecast from the National Weather Service in San Francisco.  I think they could have worded it better by saying “showers likely this morning! A thunderstorm is possible after 11 AM:

A storm system is moving into the Pacific Northwest, and San Francisco is just going to have the trailing edge of this system with a weakening cold front.  The main storm is tracking much farther to the north:

It is raining as 6:45 AM Pacific time in San Francisco, CA with that band of rising motion swinging through. After the front moves by a band of instability with cold air aloft will move onto the coast and a few isolated showers or even a thunderstorm would be possible. It will be drying out this evening with maybe even another brief shower or two, but there should be no problem with getting the game in tonight.

What a game last night as the Royals relievers came through again with a 3-2 win to take a 2 games to 1 lead in the best of seven series.  This happened on Eric Hosmer’s 25th birthday, and he had the game winning hit!

Speaking of birthday’s…..Happy Birthday to my dog, Stormy The Weather Dog! She turns 14 years old today and we are celebrating with a 100th birthday party.  Here she is picking out her birthday present:
