Good morning Weather2020 fans,

Spring officially begins this week! It is St. Patrick’s Day and we have had weather forecasts for the St. Patrick’s Day parades on our weather app since it’s debut in December.  The weather is calming down across the United States as we move through this third week of March.  Here is the upper level flow today:

The weather pattern will be going into the most active phase in a couple of weeks as the Super Bowl part of the cycling pattern returns. We are calling it that Super Bowl part of the pattern because it is our signature most accurate weather forecast of the season as our team accurately predicted No Snow On The Super Bowl with temperatures warming into the 50s leading up to the big game.  That warmer forecast is just a two to three day warm-up that is smack down in the middle of a cold weather pattern! And, this part of the pattern is about to return once again! And, I will go into more details later this week.

So are we really going to get hit with something ‘big’ the last week of March/1st week of April?? There was talk about it a few weeks ago, but now that we are closer – can you please fill us in?? It is frustrating to log on to the blog to get weather information only to find your ‘more to come’ or ‘we’ll discuss it in a few days’ comments. Thanks for your help and specific predictions!

Gary, could you tell me what the chances are of any measurable precip here in north central kansas i think you posted something of a wet period coming soon but who will see it and when we have been in a burn ban here now for several days the lack of winter moisture has things very dry i have pastures that i would like to burn clean before the grass starts to grow but it is to dry to do it — do it safe that is i know n/c kansas is a little out of your forecasting area but… Read more »

I would like a little more boldness from you! It is planting time, We have gardens and work plans. Now come on and let the rubber meet the road and tell us what to expect. This riding the coat tails of winter is gonna get old quick. you need to change seasons BEFORE they change, predictor of the future. Get off the stick! What have you got to lose? I have never even heard of a weatherman being Fired

It snowed only hours after the big game in New Jersey. They obviously should have chosen a warmer place for the game, even though they didn’t get snow during the game.
