Cycling Weather Pattern Moving Into Spring

Good morning Weather2020 fans,

This unique weather pattern continues to cycle. We will never again experience a weather pattern like this again. It is one of the LRC concepts that every year is unique!  This surface set-up is all over the place with surface features at 6 PM Saturday night. And, there are thunderstorms forming and heading towards KC. In just a few hours the surface will become much more organized with a blast of cold and snow by morning. It is 70 degrees at 6 PM, and it will be snowing by 6 AM or earlier.

The weather pattern continues to cycle according to the LRC.  The Weather2020 team has made accurate long range weather forecasts this past winter, and now the challenge is to keep the momentum going as we move into spring.  The same pattern that we identified last fall has been cycling through the winter, and it will continue to do so through spring and summer before a new pattern sets up next fall.  Severe weather season is right around the corner now and we have identified a few periods that will likely produce severe weather outbreaks, one of which is likely going to set-up between May 3rd and 12th, most likely in the May 5th to May 10th range.  There are many other parts of this cycling pattern that will also produce severe weather and we are providing advance warning to our current clients.

This next storm system that is going to help create a rather large precipitation shield is going to bring yet another strong cold blast deep into the south with snow likely in spots that rarely get snow in March, across Arkansas for example.  For more information on this developing storm go to the Action Weather Blog by clicking here:  Action Weather Blog  Here is an image from that weather blog showing the dramatic change that is heading towards Kansas City.

I am on Smokin’ Joes Driving Range show this morning in Houston, TX to discuss the Master’s Golf tournament weather forecast we issued, and to discuss the LRC.  The Master’s is now less than a month away.

We will look at the cycling weather pattern in more detail in a day or two. Have a great weekend.

I hope we never see another cycling pattern this this. This has been a terrible winter; terrible series of weather swings (winter always coming back).

That’s bad enough, and then some KC weather people being winter cheerleaders, well, can’t say much about that.

We lost power very early this morning for an hour and it got a little chilly here in Overland Park.

We had a coating of snow by 2am this morning after being 73F at 5 pm just 8 hours!!
Not that I want to see damage and stuff like that, but the lack of good storms over the past two years has been depressing( especially good summer storms) hopeing that this year is more normal for those 🙂

Gary, with the LRC and my own observations i predict a major severe weather outbreak starting in Eastern MO and migrating into Western and central Illinois around may 7th?! Probably a few super cells with long track tornados?!

I think we all dislike severe weather & I am so appreciative that you can warn us this far out so we can plan ahead for summer activities. Thanks so much!!
